I was working with NORO on an industrial proposal to construct a multi-purpose building in the Northern Province. I was highly satisfied with the work provided by NORO and they were very keen and were very flexible. Mathangie, the director of NORO always called me and made sure that the all the works are communicated well. I work with NORO on various outsourcing tasks such as admin outsourcing, and with research works. I conduct workshops through Chindanaikoodam Research Center and the NORO team has been very much helpful in coordinating tasks. I find them very friendly, flexible and always deliver works on time. I had only been in Jaffna a few weeks when in 2015 I first met the director of Noro Solutions, Ms. S.Mathangie, at the Jaffna Managers Forum. I heard her speak to the Forum, and was interested in her organisation’s ability to do market research. Having arrived from the UK with plans to invest in a property and business near the Jaffna University, I wanted to find out more about the tastes and interests of young people.

What impressed me about Mathangie is she did not agree with my plan for a wide survey, was clear in her reasons, and proposed a suitable alternative approach to researching the young people. Mathangie proposed running three focus groups, chosen from different faculties of the university. This was executed capably by her and her team of staff, from assembling the students into the groups, arranging the venues, and conducting the sessions.

The fact that Mathangie could deal with me in good English was also very important, as I speak no Tamil
